A rare letter signed by Charles FitzRoy, 2nd Duke of Grafton who was Lord Chamberlain from 1724-1757.  The letter is dated 26 May 1753 and is addressed to Mrs Jane Kune, Housekeeper at Kensington Palace, telling her to put the rooms at Kensington back into the order they were before the King went to Kensington "as it is not extremely civil to make those alterations without the leave of the Lord Chamberlain"

Signed letter measures 9 x 7 inches. Mailing folds but otherwise in very good conditon
