Edward Lear Autograph Letter Signed - extremely rare one page letter handwritten and signed by Edward Lear who is best known for his nonsense poetry and especially his limericks. The letter has some minor loss to the lower margin (left of the signature), some vertical creasing and remnants of an album page to the reverse

Rudolph Hess Typed Letter Signed - black ink autograph of prominent Nazi politician Rudloph Hess at the foot of a typed letter which is on Adolf Hitler headed paper. The letter is dated Munchen 31 Oktober 1928 and refers to personal invitations for Adolf Hitler. Hess was, at this time, employed as Hitler's private secretary having helped him write Mein Kampf in the preceding years. Hess was later to become Deputy Fuhrer. Very rare in this format

Albert Speer Autograph Signed Letter - blue ink autograph of German architect Albert Speer, who was the Minister of Armaments and War Production for the Third Reich, on a typed letter dated 10 May 1971. Speer writes in full - "I apologise for the fact that I can only answer in German, but my secretary does not speak your language. I am glad to send you a small dedication, which you can perhaps paste into your book.'

Charles and Diana Typed Letter Signed - a typed letter on Buckingham Palace headed paper, dated 7 October 1981, hand signed by Prince Charles and Princess Diana. The letter is addressed to Mr & Mrs Hopwood and thanks them for contributing towards their wedding present. The letter has been signed by Charles in black ink and in blue by Diana who adds "Yours most sincerely." 29th July 2021 marks the fortieth anniversary of the ill-fated marriage. Please note that the thank you letter is hand signed (NOT autopen) by the royal couple

WG Grace Autograph Letter Signed - a letter handwritten and signed by WG Grace the English cricketer who is generally regarded as the greatest player of all time. The letter is on Thrissell House headed paper, dated 9 November 1890 and addressed to Lord Bessborough (wo played cricket fro the MCC). The letter reads - 'Many thanks for your kind letter. The circular I sent you, is for an Edition de Luxe of the cricket book I am getting out, and is nothing to do with the painting, which I have no interest in. The book will be got up very well and I think will be very useful. Your very truly'. A unique piece of cricket memorabilia with great investment value

Queen Elizabeth II Autograph Letter Signed - a letter on Windsor Castle notepaper handwritten and signed by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The letter, dated April 27 1967, is addressed to Mrs Tanner who was the widow of Hubert Tanner the headmaster of the Royal School, Great Park, Windsor who notably produced wartime pantomimes in which Elizabeth and Princess Margaret starred. The letter is in thanks for "a little china figure" given on her birthday. Also included in the sale is the original transmittal envelope hand-addressed and initialed by the Queen
