Mohandas Gandhi Autograph - black ink autograph of Mohandas Gandhi, who led India to independence from British rule, on an off-white sheet of folded hand made paper. Accompanied by a hand written note from Gandhi's private secretary Mahadev Desai who was a leading independence activist and nationalist writer. The note is written from Wardha and dated 10.10.35 and reads in full "Dear Friend, Here with I enclose Mr Gandhi's autograph. Your argument has some force, but it is not answerable. However I willingly yield. Yours truly Mahadev Desai". Gandhi's signature is extremely scarce in any form. An exceptional item with superb provenance

The letter dates to 26 August 1991 and reads - Jade, It is very important that Blane gets the problems cleared up as I can steer Blane to a (? ?) new idea I have got. Charles Dickens Autograph Signed Cheque - a cheque signed, dated and hand written by renowned English author Charles Dickens in blue ink. The cheque is dated 5th February 1864 on Messrs. Coutts & Co and is made payable to Stephen Alford for the sum of Six Pounds, Eight Shillings and Sixpence. A superb example with the signature being untouched by the usual cancellation stamps

Napoleon Bonaparte Autograph Document Signed - a hand-written letter by Chief of Staff Louis Alexandre Berthier signed in the margin (Aprouve Np) by Napoleon I, Emperor of France 1804-1815. The letter is dated 1 August 1814 and is a report to the Emperor concerning coral fishing following Napoleon's request that a Captain be provided with a boat, victuals and anything else required order that he can learn about the benefits of coral fishing in the area. Berthier details the expenses calculated by the Captain and the intended distribution of the products gained. Also signed by Berthier at the conclusion
