However I willingly yield. Yours truly Mahadev Desai". Gandhi's signature is extremely scarce in any form. An exceptional item with superb provenance

The letter is dated 1 August 1814 and is a report to the Emperor concerning coral fishing following Napoleon's request that a Captain be provided with a boat, victuals and anything else required order that he can learn about the benefits of coral fishing in the area.
