Winston Churchill Autograph Signed Telegram Display - a draft telegram hand written and signed (twice) by Winston Churchill. The telegram is on Ministry of Munitions of War embossed paper and dated 25 September 1917. It is addressed to General Tom Bridges who was severely injured a few days before at the Battle of the Menin Road Ridge which was part of the Battle of Passchendale. The draft telegram is hand written and then annotated in red ink by Winston Churchill and reads " General Bridges, Deepest sympathy with you in your wound - thank God it was no worse - warmest hopes for your speedy recovery - " Churchill has then crossed out his signature and replaced it with "Trooper". Churchill has also added "Telegraph GHQ following for (General Bridges) from Winston Churchill"
